Crown Brainwaves

Project Overview

During my Advanced Game Design semester, in collaboration with my project group, we've made the decision to establish our own hypothetical game studio named Studio 21.

The scope of our project is very liberal - we have been instructed simply to figure out a way to implement the Neurosity brainwave crown into a Unity project of choice. As a result, we have decided to work on a walking simulator where the landscape you walk through changes based on the brainwaves the Crown is picking up – without assigning it to specific feelings to avoid any direct psychological analysis that might cause the player's landscape to change rapidly.

Reflection

During this semester I enhanced my skills in Unity, learning more complex code and functionality which will help me in the future as a game developer. I learned how to formulate my devlogs better by really showing the process of my work and why I make certain decisions. Something important that I learned this semester is critical analysis. I learned to not just read an article and use it as information to backup a statement, I learned to read and article and question who wrote this article and what background they have. I learned to better check my sources. This semester, I learned more about the steps to develop a game feature. Before adding it to the game, I need to analyze and design it. After that, I must test the feature to see if it works well.
